About

Reshad is the founder of the Law Office of Reshad Staitieh. Born in Kansas City, he is proud of his city and its barbecue. Reshad graduated with degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Missouri before attending law school at the University of Missouri School of Law. While there, he served as an editor of the Journal of Dispute Resolution.

After graduating from law school and earning a Certificate of Dispute Resolution, Reshad began work in Washington, D.C., at one of the nation’s largest civil rights and advocacy organizations. There, he represented individuals who had been discriminated against in the workplace, at school, or while traveling. In addition to working directly with federal agencies to make changes at the policy level to reduce incidents of discrimination, Reshad litigated constitutional issues such as warrantless surveillance and the improper questioning of American citizens at US Borders.

While working in civil rights, Reshad conducted national seminars on a variety of topics related to the ethical practice of law, effective practice management, and dispute resolution. Reshad has served on the board of directors for the ACLU of Mid-Missouri where he helped establish his community’s Muslim Rights Task Force as part of an effort to address ongoing civil rights violations in central Missouri.

Reshad started his St. Louis-based law practice in 2016 in order to bring his training and experience back to his local community in the Midwest. He uses his diverse background and extensive skills to help his clients find the best solutions to their legal problems. Be it serving as mediator, advocate, or advisor, Reshad relies on his dispute resolution training to facilitate the resolution process and enables individuals to find solutions that are best for them and their needs.
